Insulate attic floor with rigid foam board under flooring.?

I am going to finish off some attic space and need to insulate the floor. I will use thick rolled in insulation but was wondering if I could use rigid dow foam board under the floorboard? Is there a foam board that works under the floor and would it provide additional sound insulation?

Dow Styrofoam is sold in a variety of types. Hit their website to see. I would suspect that a Type IV product handle the compressive strength for a residential attic. I would not use their Type X product, which has little compressive strength. It will help with sound, esp. where the joists are.

Given that, though, I’d be asking if its neccessary. You are adding to the thickness of the floor.

Which of these science fair projects sounds the best?

My group and I chose this thing about soccer and pressure but I just realized that it was an elementary grade project so I had to change it. I don't know which one of these would be the best.
1. The objective of this project is to use paper chromatography to analyze ink components in permanent black markers.
2. The goal of this project is to investigate how added salt and added detergent affect the surface tension of water.
3. The goal of this project is to build a roller coaster for marbles using Foam Pipe Insulation and to investigate how much height is needed in order for the marble to run through a loop of fixed size.
4. The goal of this project is to create a colorful mini light show and shadow wall to learn about mixing and subtracting the primary colors of visible light.
5. The goal of this project is to use a homemade single-beam balance to directly measure the surface tension of a liquid.
6. How the color of an object affects how much heat it absorbs when exposed to light
I'm in 10th grade in an honors chem class, if that helps anyone.
PS Thanks for helping!

The marble coaster sounds like the most visual, interesting, easiest and most fun to do. At least to me

Can you drywall against concrete block without insulation?

Can you drywall against concrete block without foam board-insulation just attach with the wood strips. This is a concrete block garage, the thing is will the drywall have any condensation or mildew because of this?

It would be a good idea to put a vapor barrier such as Tyvek or equiv. behind the drywall and use moisture resistant drywall. With that you should have no issues.
