How do you remove Great Stuff (foam insulation) and / or wood stain from your hands?
wood stain - try paint thinner or gasoline…both are VERY EXPLOSIVE! so be careful. it will also dry your hands out like crazy, so use some lotion afterwards.

Get some washing up liquid/liquid soap and pour a little into your hand.
Add half a teaspoon of sugar mix and clean hands with it.
In a home improvement how-to book that I own, I was surprised to see instructions on how to insulate your home’s walls by yourself. I am talking about loose fiber, not foam, which is blown in with blowers you can rent from stores like the Home Depot.
Is this something that a handy homeowner can do themselves, provided they have the proper equipment, have taken the necessary steps beforehand and are well-versed in how to use the blower?
It’s thousands of dollars less to do this yourself than to hire a company to do it for you, so it’s got me very curious.
Not a hard job. Purchase the plugs and drill bit you need when you rent the machine that blows the insulation in.
