Easy Caldera Spa Repair? Electrical?
Need Hot tub expert’s advice and input!
We are looking into getting a free (basically we pick up) spa. Its a 2005 Caldera Spas Hot tub - Cumberland.
The original owner said that the problem with the hot tub is on one of the electrical boards that controls the heat. Our local Hot Springs dealer told them it would be around $1000 to fix. My husband is pretty handy and wouldn’t mind taking on this repair. Do you think it would be an easy repair for someone? Do you know if Caldera Spas have the full Foam Insulation much like Hot Springs? Where is a good online retailer of parts and also have good support for DIY’ers? Any other tips for moving the spa home, the owner has kept water in it and the water moving so it doesn’t freeze, they are just done with all the hassle and want it gone.
I’m not very impressed with our local dealership, so would not want to work with them anyway.
I looked for a manual on line for one of these tubs, but couldn’t find one. I had a pool and spa business for 6 years, and could fix anything, provided I could get the parts.
You should try to contact Caldera, so you can get the part from them. But you need to know what is exactly wrong with it. So you’re husband will need to trace back from the heater to determine the problem.
You might try these guys also.
