Fact , all timbers and lathes left to breath, and this roof was 200 sq mtrs , and client was paying in excess of £300 every winter to overpiced roofers sometimes three times a year dependant on storms , they took advantage of his location and situation , this was sprayed 8 years ago , so the money he saves over the next twenty years he could pay for a new welsh slate roof and still have a few nice holidays .

Thanks for the comment, but this roof was quoted at £8000.00 for a full strip and re roof, the elderley couple did not have that kind of funding, that is why we recomended the striping system so slate can be removed at a later date , cost to client was around £1500 a fraction of re roof and since property was in france with external clips, slate may last centuries but fixings dont to see a hundred years out of a roof you have done well, it is all about budget.
