My house has metal siding I tried using a stud finder by Stanley but it did not work well.

I also have had problem using it on insulation foam board with metal on the back side.

What brand and model stud finder could solve my problem

try the panasonic series 7, its reliable and can be used on all apps.

Wall studs are much easier to find from the inside. There are studs at each corner of every room, doubles at doorways and windows. The normal spacing is 16" on center. Electrical outlets are usually mounted to one also.

You can use the tap method, sound varies from hollow to solid when you get to the studs.

The best way, (if you have wood baseboards without too much paint)
is to look for nail holes where the baseboards were secured to the walls.

I’m not a pro on stud finders, but I haven’t ever needed one.
