The problem is the foam expands and will bow the door frame if you get to much in between the rough opening and the door fame so dont use much and move fast. If you need more go back after a hr or so. But be careful not to over fill the opening.

Why not foam on the inside? Looks easier, as it’s hard to avoid at least some packing of the fibreglass. In my opinion fibreglass and rockwool is best used in large slabs.

Fiberglass works well as an insulator when it is fluffed up and has lots of air in it. If you compress it, you remove the air thus making it more solid. Then it acts as a conductor, much like a piece of glass.
