insulation foam near heating pipe/radiator cause fire hazard?
I live in a small studio (I rent) and saw field mouse running around. I found a small hole that I think the mouse is come from. The hole is very close to a heating pipe that connects to a baseboard radiator. I think maintenance use some kind of a insulation foam that’s from a can because I found a can cover in my trash can. My question is, since the foam is very close to the radiator, is it a fire hazard? Maintenance is very good in what their doing but I’m just concern about it.
I don’t have the can. Maintenance is the one who put the foam there and they took the can so I can’t read it.
No you don’t have to worry the stuff they used sounds like just the stuff they are suppose to use its called fire stop. It is a foam that expands in to all the holes and crevices and its HEAT & FLAME resistant.
What is a good way to store your used fish hooks with leaders attached to them?
pipe insulation is made for hot services. if it’s foam from a can. read the can
